Thanks Dan, I thought it may not be possible. The NVR is up in the loft so not easy to run more cables down. I might see if I can stick a mini PC behind the TV and connect that up instead and access via the browser.

Youll most likely need an SDS drill with long drill bit depending thickness of your walls and then some metal rods to help guide everything through the holes. You may want to head up towards the roof and pull it into the loft which may be easier.

With a lot of data going through it, I'd be tempted to hard wire the POE switch to the router and not go via the Wirelss access points.

The next thing youll be needing is a power generator or UPS in case they open up the electrics cabinet (which is often on the side of house and can be opened with a crow bar) and kill the electricity.

Have you tried a firmware update on the NVR?

You’ll need to check the max distances for hdmi and usb. Usb is quite short. Alternatively Just access the nvr via its IP address and login to it through a web browser.

If extending the VGA signal then you can run it over Cat5E cable with vga to ethernet converters at both ends.
