One thing I noticed with the new HikConnect app is that it *finally* fixes the reverse order camera view. Forever, it seems, the camera view was backwards - cameras 1-8 were displayed as 8-1. Now it seems to be fixed!

If you have HikConnect already installed, it should automatically prompt you to download the newest version that Phil mentioned above. It just did for me. Galaxy 21 and no problems with the app, even after reboot. If the app doesn't auto prompt you, go to "More" in the lower right corner...

I used to have one of those cameras, as well as 7 of the 2355's. Ditch motion detection and only use line crossing and intrusion detection. In my opinion motion detection is just not worth it because of all the false alarms and other problems. Besides, with line crossing and intrusion setup...

Thanks. Although it appears I can only set the pre-record to zero. The post record is a minimum of 5 seconds, but no big deal.

You're not going to get anywhere until you tell us which DVR, which cameras, and the current firmware on both. Need more info.

That's the opposite of how it should be behaving. Go under Device, Notification, Notification Schedule and see if the slider under "Notification Schedule" is ticked to "on" and a schedule has been set.

Strange. I upgraded to that version last week on a Galaxy S21 and I don't have any problems whatsoever. Wish I could help.

It has - I've experienced it for some time. Of course Hik won't do a damn thing about it.

I've got the same NVR but 8 of those cameras, so it's not the NVR I don't think. I really do think it's a Hikconnect issue.

I have this happen on a regular, but not frequent, basis with Hikconnect. Here's what happens: Occasionally when I ask Hikconnect to view a camera, it goes to 90% or so and then hangs, then times out. I back out of it and move on. At some point down the road it happens again with another camera...

Reboot the NVR and see if that cures it. If so I'll give you my theory on why it happens.
