As far as I know, you not only have to tick the box for "notify surveillance center" but you also have to go to the right and check the corresponding box for "trigger recording" - even if you are set to continuous recording as I am. That's what allows the video clips to be sent to Hik Connect...

Hard reset the camera, rebuilt all the parameters, and rebooted the NVR. Intrusion detection now seems to work, after all other methods failed. Getting real tired of the reset/reboot/rebuild/update firmware BS on this equipment to fix problems.

Can't help with the problem, but as far as settings: You could probably lower the frame rate a tad if you wanted. Up the max bitrate a bunch - that setting doesn't set the bitrate, it only puts a cap on it during busy scenes with lots of action. But the bitrate will drop to whatever the scene...

Thanks Kyle. I am using my admin NVR password, and have also tried running in Edge in Explorer mode. Nothing seems to work. I even disabled all extensions in Edge and Chrome.
