They are in the UK but nowhere near as popular as Hikvision which are everywhere. As said the favoured models on IPCT are unavailable here (4MP 1/1.8” sensor) so in general the Hik models appear to outperform the available Dahua models by specifications. The only workaround is buying from empire tech and getting them shipped.

There's AliExpress and Ebay too. But you need to do your research, and take the risk of zero support and no warranty.

hey were all on H265 but now everything is set to CBR H264 High Profile. With H265 VBR there were issues in low light; a person walking across screen would appear transparent with the road or background being visible through them (legs and head walking past without a body!)

An update- someone in a black tracksuit kindly walked up the street late at night yesterday. They were in the poorest lit area and walking on the black road. There was a definite improvement regarding the ghostly smudged imaging. There was virtually none until the light got so dim the person had virtually vanished off the scene.
