reading other post in this forum I found one about firmware and using the sw HiToolsDelivery I found a firmware for my dvr, but it is the V3.0.15_150528, older than the one you suggested me.
Do you think it is safe to update directly to the newer one or it is better a two step upgrade...

Yes, this new camera require a stronger password than the one set in the dvr.
I tried to do what you suggested, that is similar to what I did.
The old cameras have addresses from 192.168.254.2 to 192.168.254.9 so this new camera has IP 192.168.254.30.
